Curious kitty!

All evening, after the scarecrows were put up, Sammy could not help himself but check them out...tho he did it from a safe distance, because you just never know about those scarecrows! Well, by the next day, he decided he would get a little closer and he braved sitting on the straw bales not too far from the scarecrows!! (Notice how tense he looks! Crazy cat!)

I am not sure what the scarecrow did, or if Sammy just couldn't resist the lap of warmth, but looks like he has made friends with the scarecrows!

"I'm A Little Scarecrow"

(This is to be sung to the Little Teapot)
I'm a little Scarecrow
Stuffed with Hay
Here I stand in a field all day.
When I see crows, I like to shout,
"Hey! You crows, you better get out!"

And OUR scarecrows!

The making of our scarecrows!

I decided to make a couple scarecrows this year. I have not made a scarecrow in years....don't really remember the last one I made. We both had a blast making them, and the good thing is, it really is something Ethan could help do!

This is Ethan stuffing the pants for the "Daddy" scarecrow!!

Now he is working on the "kid" scarecrow with the straw!
Intense work!

One scarecrow down!

Imagination, what a great thing!

These pictures are of Ethan riding his "motorcycle!" When we would go out over the summer evening for a ride, we would wear these glasses. Well, he found a pair, and the imagination kicked in!!

This is Ethan starting his motorcycle. After making hand motions of revving it up, he stopped and asked me "How's that sound!"
This, of course, is his motorcycle turning!
And just one last shot of him taking off on his loud bike!
The imagination of a kid, I LOVE IT!

Those eyes....the wonders they see!

To see the world through the innocent eyes of a three year old would be very interesting! These eyes are so beautiful, full of questions and curiosity!

Fall Fun!

I bought a couple of big pumpkins bags, the kind you can stuff with leaves and sit outside! I always remembered doing this as a kid, and I figured this would be something that Ethan would really enjoy! It's outdoors, you get to use tools ( I know, just a rake, but thats a big deal to a three year old!), and you get to play in the leaves! We did this quickly because we are having abnormally freezing weather right now, so we bundled up a little and worked quick!

Busy, busy, busy!

If only I could throw leaves all over inside the house......the peace and quiet may only be short-lived.....but....it might be nice for a little bit!

Such a good lil worker!

This is where our scarecrows will go, but they are still in the making! Ethan makes a good prop tho! He was proud of his work!

Fallen leaves, crisp, fresh air, pumpkins, and a happy lil boy! What could be better!!

Pumpkin carving success!

Ethan and I carved pumpkins this evening! We or shall I say-I-had fun. Ethan didn't want to get his hands messy so there wasn't much that he could do! (I don't let him play with knives...yet!) But, he had fun watching the first one and then play dough won over the pumpkins! These are "my masterpieces!"

(It says Trick or Treat--the little space between the T and R fell out on both words!)
