Homemade Bowling!

This is something Ethan came up with TOTALLY on his own! He found the empty bottles and decided to play some bowling! It is so cute to watch! The wheels just never quit spinning in this little brain!

My heart is stolen!

Those eyes will melt your heart! They look so big and beautiful in this picture! I love it!

A habit of Ethans!

So, I went down the Hallway the other night to check on Ethan, who I found sleeping in his room, after watching Spongebob, and this is what I found hanging on a doorknob!! He has started hanging things from all the doors since Christmas...it is his way of "decorating for Santa!!" Usually it is just some little toys..but I thought this was too funny! Notice the cat even wondering what's going on!!

Happy Birthday Dwayne!!

This weekend we celebrated Dwayne's 35th birthday! He is as rottenly sweet as ever! HaHa!!

Standing Tall!

This is Makaylie, Ethan's cousin...who is six! She is just a little taller than him as you can see! We also weighed both of them, and Ethan weighs more!! He was 43 pounds! Can't wait until we can play football!! We will be doing soccer hopefully in the next month!!

Squeaky shoes!

Clint said his shoes had started squeaking when at work...and he finally realized the problem! Hahahaha...I think he was running too fast and cracked his shoes! (Probably from that possum on the porch..remember that?!! hehe)

Long Live the Fish!

This is our Beta blue fish..."Old Blue" is his name! We have had this fish since we moved to Lafayette, which is almost two years! I thought I would give him the honor of making the blog as part of the family!! I think we have the longest living "walmart" fish ever!!!!

Hard day at play makes for a good night's sleep!

Ethan had a great day today. He was very busy on the computer, learning lots of new things! We had one his faves for a Friday night dinner..PIZZA! And we did his other favorite thing...we skipped his bath to save for tomorrow! hahaha!!! Anyways, he put himself to bed tonight!! He got a pillow and asked me to cover up his babies, and himself! Of course, I had to make sure all the "babies" eyes were showing!!
So sweet and innocent while sleeping!

Mr. Smarty Pants

Ethan, once again, has seized to amaze me! We have played games on the laptop now and then, but he would always get frustrated because "he" couldn't do it!! Well, after playing on his Doggy leapfrog computer, he has mastered the mouse, and finally has the idea of what to do....and he is just ridiculously smart on it! Thank goodness for the Nick Jr. website! Once I get him there, he does the rest...he literally played it for like two hours today! And begged to play it more later!!The great thing is, he can do it here at home, and at Grandma's!!

Never thought I would get ALOT of peace and quiet from telling my 3 year old to go play the computer!!!!

Snow...snow...snow

We had our first "blizzard-like" weather for the winter season today! I wanted to take more pictures because it really is pretty, but the temperatures are now frigid, and falling below ZERO! I believe we got about four inches of snow, and tonight the wind is supposed to pick up and blow it all over the place! So, who knows what Thursday morning will be like!! It would be nice to wake up to 75 degrees, warm sun shining, birds singing....ahhh...HEY, you never know, it is INDIANA!

WII got a New Toy!

Clint and I decided to get the Wii!! I have been trying to talk him into it for awhile...Thanks to some good friends (Carol.....Jim....some guys he works with), he finally decided he would be COOL and join the crowd!!! We love it!! And Ethan does too...although he gets so excited when he plays, it's so funny!!
WII are all going through the sore muscle phase right now! Once you start, you can't stop!!

Bowling adventures!

Last weekend, the gang got together and we all went bowling!! It was quite the success for being Ethan's first time! His highest score was an 83--he beat me!! We all had a great time, and Ethan is ready to go again!

We also had some excitement outside as we left! The weather was crazy as usual, and had laid down a layer of snow and ice! So, the "BIG" kids decided to take advantage of the big open parking lot, and do some donuts! And all the "little" kids loved it!! I wish I had a picture!

Big Foot

Ethan is now wearing a size 11 shoe!
( Maybe he gets it from Aunt Cara..hehe sorry!!)

A Sweet Moment!

A sweet moment between Soph and Ethan.....and Ethan actually being nice to her!

Animals being Animals!

Innocence

Sally, taking a break on the bowflex....not sure if she was thinking about working out...or looking for a soft, cozy spot to curl up!

Becoming buddies!!
You never know what's lurking on the other side of your computer screen!

MY HANDS WERE BUSY
My hands were busy through the day.
I didn’t have much time to play.
The little games you asked to do,I didn’t have much time for you.
I’d wash your clothes.
I’d sew and cook.
You’d ask and I’d read from your book.
I’d tuck you in all safe at night,And hear your prayers; turn out the light.
Then tiptoe softly by your door,I wish I’d stayed a minute more.
For life was short, the years rushed past,A little boy grows up so fast.
No longer is he at my side,His precious secrets to confide.
The picture books are put away.
There are no longer games to play.
No Teddy Bears or misplaced toys
No sleepovers with lots of boys.
No goodnight kiss, no prayers to hear.
That all belongs to yesteryear.
My hands, once busy, now are still.
The days are long and hard to fill.
I wish I could go back and do
The little things you asked me to do.

Ethan being Ethan!

We Tried.....

Well, we tried THREE times to go get Ethan's haircut! Hoping the third time would be the charm, that he would just climb up in the seat and get his haircut, but it didn't happen!! He was in dire need of a haircut, so we were pulling out all the prizes...and NOTHING worked! So, after our last attempt, we just went home and did it!!! It actually didn't turn out too bad!!

Did u ever think.....

~you would have a bike with training wheels zooming through your house?

~you would have playdough stuck in all sorts of nooks and crannies?

~you would have toys strewn about the house, and look around and smile about it?

~you would ever have to carry a screaming child from a store?

~you would do the things a toddler has you do....(you know the silly games I'm talking about!)?

~you would have to worry about what your child was going to say? (be very afraid!)

~YOU WOULD EVER LOVE SOMETHING/SOMEONE SOO MUCH!!??

"Ethan says the darndest things!"

Tonight Ethan had found a rubber band, and was playing with it, dancing around the living room. Well, I took it away from him, not thinking it would be a big deal...but he came back with this. He told me to, "put them up, and let me see what you got!"..as he throws up his fists and dances around like we are going to have a boxing match!! Being caught off guard with this response, I immediately started laughing!! Of course, he was serious until he realized it was pretty funny, then he wouldn't stop!! I am sure there will be a time when this isn't so funny, but it was in the moment!!! (I am sure this is something he has learned from PAPA T!!!!)
Another little phrase we have been hearing alot of around the house is "Wowy Zowy"...I know it's a "kooky" little word I believe he picked up from his favorite show..Wow Wow Wubbzy!!! The really cool part is when you catch yourself saying Wowy Zowy!! HAHAHA!!!
The last thing he said a few days ago....Clint and I were watching a movie. (American Gangster) Ethan was happily playing, running from his room to the living room, or rather riding his bike from room to room, but we didn't really think he was paying much attention to the movie. Well, he was not even looking at the TV and they happened to say, "he's always all coked up, " and Ethan turns to me and goes, "All coked Up"...and wouldn't stop! Clint and I looked at each other, and didn't know what to do!!! It's not really a bad word...but do you really want your child saying, "all coked up!" And of course, it would come out at the most inappropriate time!! Luckily, I thought quickly and started saying, yep, they got it all COOKED UP!! And he started saying it!! PPHEWW...that was close!
