Scenes from "Boo at the Zoo"

Boo at the Zoo was a fun night at the Columbian Park Zoo! There were lots of games that all ages could enjoy, lots of fun spooky, gooey things for kids to touch, candy to collect for playing games, and all sorts of things for kids!!! Ethan had sooo much fun! There were kids everywhere, dressed in hilarious costumes, running in all directions!

Prize-Winning Lion!!!

We went to "Boo at the Zoo" this week, and Ethan won first place in the 3/4 year old costume contest!! I was so surprised he won! He actually was going to be a robot this year (E.T. Raybot), but after an hour of working on a homemade robot costume that Ethan wasn't cooperating with, Daddy and I were getting very frustrated with, we gave up! I threw this together at the last minute, and I must say, he did look adorable!!!!

Ethan, the Scary Lion

And his "shaking" tail! The judges asked to see his tail, and Ethan turned to show them, and shook his butt, and said, " Look it shakes too!!"

Pumpkin carving fun!

This was a lucky moment caught on the camera.....because it was short-lived! He cried to do the pumpkins on Tuesday night, woke up first thing Wednesday morning, ready to carve. Finally, that afternoon, we were ready to go, and Ethan lasted about five...maybe 10 minutes, didn't even clean out half a pumpkin and said it was too hard of work and his hand were too tired. And off he went...... So I took over and finished the pumpkins. It took me the whole day, while taking care of the two busy boys, and then cooking dinner, and so on and so on!! I was quite happy with the turn out of them. Of course the only thing Ethan was concerned with was blowing the candle out!!

This one doesn't look that hard, but there was quite a lot of detail! Took FOREVER!!!

Ethan's pumpkin!

Ethan had a couple mini pumpkins, so we decided to try carving them. I have decided they are the perfect size to keep the attention of a 4 year old, and they are just the right size for their little hands! He is so proud of his little one!

Yummy...peppers!

While I was chopping green, yellow, and red peppers for dinner the other night, Ethan decided he should try each kind. He was really excited to try the yellow...which he didn't like so well! So then it was to the red peppers, which he chewed up but made a funny face. Then the green peppers that he was not too crazy about either. He said the juices were kind of not good, but would be really good in his food.....which he then ate every bite of them with his dinner! BUT yet the night before I made cheeseburger calzones (hamburger, cheese, ketcup, and pickles...would think a little boys delight) the other night, and he threw a fit!
Oh the job of making a four year old happy!!

Snuggly days inside with furry friends!
