Lil' Gardening Fun!

Grandma T got Ethan his own little gardening kit for Easter. He enjoyed the stickers the most!! And sticking his finger in the dirt!! He was mad because there were no flowers yet, he doesn't want to wait for them to grow! Hopefully soon, I will be posting a picture of Ethan's sprouted garden!! Thanks, Grandma!!

Backyard egg hunting fun!

I had a big Easter dinner on Saturday for our family! We had a great time! Ethan got way too much candy...that I can not stay out of! We did an Easter egg hunt for the kids, they had fun. But leave it to Ethan to not want to look for the plastic eggs, he said they were not "Easter bunny hiding eggs!!" I had made the mistake of buying a carton of Confetti-filled real eggs...which are really cool by the way, but keep them outside!!

Ahhhh...the wonderful Easter Bunny.....a morning of jelly beans, Krabby patty gummies, chocolate and more chocolate! A child's dream...a parent's nightmare! But it's so much fun looking for eggs everywhere!!!

Well Ethan's room is all done! The only thing I have left to do is his curtains. I have to buy another set to go up, and do some Cowboys patchwork on them, but that can wait! We are also going to put up a bigger bed, but didn't have time for that this week! But everything else is finished! It looks like such a big boy room! All we need now is more Dallas Cowboys items!! (hint hint...birthdays, christmas! hahaha)!!!

Boredom is setting in....where oh where is the warm weather!!!

We are all getting stir-crazy in the house! After a few nice days here and there, and then back to cold weather, we are beside ourselves with boredom!!! The sight of snow on Sunday was sickening! I want heat, sun, flowers, and grass!!! And I really need an exhausted child from playing outside all day!!!!

Project #1 done!

My first project for Ethan's room is finally completed!! We had wanted to get a FatHead for his room...but they were quite pricey!! So, I got the grand idea of doing our own! I bought this star for $15 at Gordman's...compared to $100 on Fathead.com, and used left over paint to make it look like the official Dallas Cowboys star....and saved $85!!!! I am happy with the results...but I am soooo done with doing stripes!!!!!

Safety First!

I finally got my motorcycle helmet...and of course, Ethan had to test it out first! (around the house...not on the bike! haha). It's crazy, the helmet actually fits Ethan...a little loose..but he is 3 and I am 28! haha!! You guys all know his dad......

This is Ethan's room, all nice and painted!! I don't have full room pictures yet ( still a few finish touches that need to be done!!) but wanted to post a few to show it off a little!! I am very proud of my TIME consuming stripes!! They turned out great tho...definitely worth it!! I have a couple homemade projects that I am working on and when that is all done, I will have better pictures to come!!

Ethan has finally picked up a cold from somewhere! We have been sooo lucky!! He has not been sick for over a year!! I made the mistake of telling him to rest on the couch for a little bit, and I was going to work on dinner! Well, he fell asleep---which is a VERRRY unusual thing for Ethan to do!!! I had to wake him up, and as you can see, he wasn't quite ready to!!
