Cookie Time!!

What a great Saturday night we had!!! Grandma T and Papa T came over to bake cookies....I put in 12 hours of cookie baking, Clint drank Morgan, and the Cowboys beat the Saints!!!! We had a great sugary, fun night!!! Ethan thoroughly exhausted himself!!
Taking his time...he is the SLOWEST cookie decorator ever!!
Sugar Fingers!!
What?! I haven't had any sugar..or cookies...or icing..
All the cookie creations!

Homemade Playdough fun!

I made Ethan some homemade playdough this week to make some christmas decorations. It was a two-day process and he loved it!! His creations turned out wonderful, very creative!!

(Love the eyes!!!)

Play day with Aunt Christy!

Aunt Christy spent a couple nights with us a week ago. She was lucky enough to be entertained by Ethan...which means you are in for just about anything!! Her wheelchair was a hit...she got fast rides through house, he did doughnuts in it when he would finally get her to move "to a more comfy spot" and they also got to play many games together! Not sure how well the "rules" to all these games were followed, but we all had a wonderful time!

Looking alot like Christmas

A tribute to Kathy Yoder.

On December 8th, a tragedy in its era occured. John Lennon had been shot and killed. He was one of the most influential musicians of the sixties. Many people loved and followed him and continue to admire his work to this day. One of the biggest fans of John Lennon that I know, was my aunt, Kathy Yoder. She could tell you anything you wanted to know of this man and listened to his music almost faithfully. Ironically, this December 8th, 2009, 29 years after John Lennon's tragic death, Kathy passed away. It was a sudden death, with little explanation but that infection spread through her body and was just too much for her to fight off. She leaves behind many loved ones, two daughters who loved her dearly, grandchildren who she really loved like crazy, four sisters and a brother who are at loss for words losing one of their siblings, and many nieces and nephews who have shared many memories growing up with Aunt Kathy.
Aunt Kathy was a one of a kind mother/grandmother/aunt! She was a strong woman but yet soft. She has definitely left us all with many memories of her. She was the type of person that you could sit up with and eat junk food all night, but might want to get up early and leave before she fixes her hair, (if you knew Kathy, you know what I am talking about!!). She had a great sense of humor and was always ready for a good laugh. She will be dearly missed by us all. Lisa, Dani, and all of her grandchildren have lots of healing to get through, but they have lots of memorable moments to remember her by.
In all the stress, pain, and struggles this woman has lived through, she is now able to be happy and resting sound for once in her life.
We love and miss you bunches.
