Snowy days are here again

You cannot help but feel the excitement when you wake up to find everything covered in snow! I had no clue that it was supposed to snow, so we were very surprised to see it! Ethan was amazed by it! He could not believe that snow was all over everything!

It is such a pretty picture, but I dread it for the next four months!

Thanksgiving Day

These are a couple pictures of Ethan on Thanksgiving Day! He looks like such a big boy! He is getting so tall, all of his pants are shrinking! This is one of his new outfits from his birthday! His favorite is the new shoes!

"Dear Santa...."

This is Ethan writing a letter to Santa. This started out as him making a grocery list (notice the payless ad beside him), but it became something to mail to Santa! I was not getting very good looks while he was doing this. I asked if he could smile, and he told me I was being too loud, and he was trying to think!---Don't know where he would have heard that from!

"That will be six hundred dollars and seven"

Ethan has recently started playing "store." The store never closes, you can only do what the shopper/cashier tells you, and you have to make "blurp" noises when you scan the items to buy! These items are very expensive, too. For example, a puzzle will cost you six hundred dollars and seven....that's what Ethan says anyways-the manager, owner, shopper, and cashier!
Notice he had to put his coat on to go shop, but didn't feel the need for pants!!
Shopping cart/foot stool/chair...little tykes never knew what things those little yellow chairs would be!
He will start at the end of the table and slide it down just like a real grocery store!
And this is him paying, I was the cashier, but he had to take over because I wasn't doing it right!
What an imagination!

A cooking mishap

This is why you never leave the room for like two minutes with eggs sitting on the counter, and a very tempting bowl of bread crumbs. A toddler just can't resist the urge "to help!" Here I was trying to multi-task, and cook and do laundry, I guess he thought I needed some help! I came back into the room, and he was hiding under the table so I knew he had done something.

He tried!

The Artist

Ethan is starting to draw faces now. This is his scarecrow face he said. I thought it turned out cute, and he was very proud of himself!

We finally went and got our pictures taken! Ethan has not had his done since he turned 1, and we have never had a family picture taken! Below are the pictures of Ethan, and then our family poses taken! Isn't he so cute!! I also put the collage picture I had done on here, it put all the poses taken of Ethan on it!

A favorite summertime toy!

This was one of Ethan's favorite toys given to us. It was actually his cousin, Justin's when he was little. Grandma Ray gave it to us, and Ethan has LOVED it. Sad to say he has finally outgrown it, time to upgrade! But he did put a lot of miles on it, because he used it indoors and out! I was happy that he liked big wheels tho, because I wore holes out on my back tires on mine! I loved it!

Got (chocolate) Milk?

Wouldn't this be a great ad for milk! Ethan LOVES chocolate milk....just like Mommy!
Chocolaty kiss anyone!?

3 year old Silliness!

I am not sure what Ethan was "pretending" here...I believe the blue thing on his head is supposed to be hair. He entertained himself with these two pieces of clothing for a long time. I guess whatever works...have fun with it! I thought these were funny pics of him playing!

Out with new...In with the old!

Yeah, usually it is out with the old, in with the new...but not this time. Clint sold his "big red truck" as Ethan had named it. It really wasn't a BIG red truck, but a nice fast truck that he loved. We didn't realize how much he really liked this truck until we sold it this past weekend. Ethan actually cried when the guy drove away in it. It was so pitiful.
But....the very next day, Daddy brought home another big red truck...this one not quite as new...or fast...but it works! And as you can see by the pictures below, Ethan is happy.

Boys and their toys.

Monsters under the bed!

This is the first time in over a month that Ethan has finally went and watched a movie in his room. He recently has started to be very afraid of monsters and ghosts. They are in his closet and everywhere! He will usually go in his room, and run out screaming that there is a monster, dinosaur, or ghost in his closet or bed! This time I put Polar Express in and didn't think it would last long, but he went to his "safety" spot, and when I checked on him, this is what I found!

Ring around the....mommy!

This is Ethan and Sophie playing a game....I didn't know Sophie knew how to play. I was sitting on the floor, taking some pictures of Ethan, and he started chasing her around me. The smart thing for her (you would think) to do would have been to just run in the other room, and sit on the couch. But no....she just went along with it and ran in the circle too! Below are random pictures of them going around me!
Ring around the mommy....
Pocket full of Posies....
Ashes...
Ashes....

We all get a kiss? (Look at that tongue!!)

A treat for a cold, blustery day!

Well, we have been in the "fall season" for a while, but now it is officially starting to look like winter. Almost all the leaves are in the yard instead of on the trees, the wind has a cold shiver to it, and the air has the crisp smell of COLD! I enjoy the first few times that you have to use the heat, or start a nice fire in the fireplace...seems to make a home so cozy! Snuggle up in the chair with a blanket in your warm fuzzy slippers...with a nice cup of coffee or hot chocolate! I am not a big coffee drinker but I love this time of year because of all the flavored creamers! So I actually enjoy having a cup now and then! I love the feeling you get this time of year....reminds you of childhood memories, and the excitement of christmas.....though it would be nice if on December 26th, it would go back to 70 degree weather, and have those perfect days again! Well, I hope all my readers enjoy this little post, and go grab a cup of coffee, and remember those great times as a kid.....and think of the great memories you will help create for your children! Happy shopping days!

"Yes We Can"

I just got through watching the election! I am very excited over the results. I feel like a child at Christmas....but no toys to play with!! Obama gave a very inspiring speech, made you proud of our country! It is so wonderful to be a witness to a major event in history...and it be an encouraging event not a sad, struggling one that we witness more than we would like to.

A "SUPER" Present!

"SUPER ETHAN to the rescue!" Now you are safe and sound. Ethan is now a true Superhero with this wonderful present he received from his Aunt Cara. Ethan loves it! He opened it up, and realized what it was, and says, "I have to put that on, and run!" He will only be called "Superboy" or "Super Ethan" when the cape is on! And you must ask for HELP!

Rushing from his room to come to my rescue!

This is my little superhero rescuing the cat....not sure from what except for the food bowl sitting there!
Thank you, Aunt Cara, we love it!!!! It was soo worth the suspense!!

****Coming Soon to a blog near you....****

I know I know....you guys are waiting for all the great pictures of the extravaganza that took place this weekend! I am trying to get together a bunch of photos. I have some, but I don't have enough. We had some really great....funny....costumes, and I would like try to get a pic of them all! I promise I will do it faster than I mail packages! It's worth the wait.....I promise!

"Trick or Treat"

All last week, all we heard was, "Trick or treat, smell my feet, give me something good to eat!" It is nice that Halloween is now over, but the little song hasn't stopped. I know Christmas songs are next, but I am just not ready for Jingle Bells, so Smell my feet it is!

Ethan had a blast this year trick or treating! This was his first year to go. And of course, he is Scooby Doo! He was such a good trick or treater, even though he didn't like the concept of only taking one piece of candy...he wanted the bowl!

I love this picture! This shows his excitement for the night!

I did a little work to his "Scooby" face, and made the ears stand up better! And, this was the end of the night....after all was finished. Poor Scooby!
