Our backyard has become a graveyard for shedded locust skins! Ethan has had lots of fun finding them all over the place! We got lucky yesterday and witnessed not only one, but two locusts crawling for that perfect shedding spot! After getting settled in, the fun finally began! Below are the pictures of the stages of shedding! Clint nor I had ever got to see one actually go through the whole process so it was neat to be able to watch! Ethan thought it was really cool!
This picture looks like some alien life-form emerging from a bug!

That's really cool-- great pics! Jason and I got to see this in VA when we had the summer of a million locusts (happens every 16 years). We saw it at night though, which made it even more creepier!
